What's changed when voting by mail for the 2026 election?

We recommend returning your mail ballot directly to your elections office in person or in an official ballot drop box.

If you mail your ballot back, mail it as soon as possible!

[In STATE, mail ballots must be postmarked by DEADLINE to count.]

Mail your ballot by October 27th! The US Postal Service recommends mailing your ballot at least 7 days before Election Day to allow for extra time for processing.

Postmark your mail ballot by Election Day. You can request a free manual postmark at your local Post Office to guarantee the correct date is applied to your envelope.
